At its core sits an interlocking OKC monogram surrounded by 39 sun rays, each representing one of the tribes headquartered in Oklahoma. The shield’s arrowhead shape pays homage to the state’s Native American heritage, while the bordering zig‑zag pattern references Jim Thorpe’s Sac and Fox name, Wa‑Tho‑Huk, symbolizing life’s journey through seasons of growth and change. Westbrook described the emblem as “a mirror” that reflects the city, its people, and the club.
