Jacob Infante’s WCG Dynasty Roster Needs a Rebuild
Jacob Infante, known for NFL Draft coverage and a strong social media presence, joined the WCG Dynasty Fantasy Football League this season. His early impact has focused heavily on rookie picks as he tries to salvage a roster that currently lags behind the top teams. The image below shows the full roster he inherited.
Quarterback situation
Jared Goff provides a low‑end QB1 production for Infante’s team, while Aaron Rodgers still counts as a QB2. The backup signal‑caller is over 40 and there are no developmental options behind him, a clear weakness. This depth chart leaves Infante with limited flexibility for weekly matchups.
Running back depth
David Montgomery anchors the RB2 spot with reliable output, and Bijan Robinson is the standout RB1 on the roster. Robinson represents the biggest asset; Infante may consider trading him to acquire premium draft capital. Retaining him could be an option, but his trade value far exceeds what he brings on the field.
Wide receiver overhaul
Two rookie additions were meant to rescue a floundering receiver corps, and DJ Moore is expected to be a solid contributor. The rest of the group lacks big‑play potential and will likely fetch modest returns if traded. Infante will watch these players closely to see if any can develop into reliable assets.
Tight end prospects
Travis Kelce’s remaining years look limited, but Freiermuth is already a starting option. Ferguson and Arroyo could develop into reliable fantasy tight ends given the right opportunities. The trio provides a floor for the position but no elite upside.
Defensive tackle assets
Quinnen Williams is a scoring DT who can be parlayed into trade capital, a rare commodity in this league. Darius Robinson and Sanders, both drafted out of Missouri, have yet to meet expectations at the NFL level. If either player breaks out, they could become valuable trade pieces for further picks.
Edge and linebacker concerns
Pearce showed promise but faces possible off‑field suspensions that could sideline him. Mesidor and Jacas add youth to a room that needs depth, while Mack still delivers around 10 points but no 30‑point games. Fred Warner is a premium LB who could be moved for future picks; Wagner remains productive but is nearing an age where his role may shift. The mix of youth and aging veterans leaves Infante with a balancing act for weekly lineup decisions.
Corners overload
The roster now sports eight cornerbacks, including two rookies added when the team already had six. This depth is unnecessary and should be trimmed before week one. Reducing the cornerback count could free up draft capital elsewhere.
Safety depth
While bigger‑scoring safeties would help, the immediate focus is on other positions. A safety upgrade can wait until the roster’s more pressing issues are addressed. Infante can allocate those resources to positions where the impact is immediate.
Rebuilding roadmap
Infante’s team needs a full purge, trading proven players for multiple early draft picks. Targeting 5–6 first‑round selections, or at minimum 3–4 firsts and 3–4 seconds, offers the best path back to contention. Stripping the roster to its core assets is the only viable route forward.
