The Green Bay Packers selected Cooper with their second‑round pick, fulfilling expectations that he would go near the top of the draft. In his rookie year he appeared in 14 games, starting four, and contributed 87 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss. Cooper’s ability to stabilize the Packers’ linebacker corps was evident despite the early-season challenges. His role expanded the following season, as he became a full‑time starter and amassed 118 tackles alongside four tackles for loss.
