Gbemi Arubi Joins Burton Albion on Three‑Year Deal

Burton Albion have secured Dundalk forward Gbemi Arubi on a three‑year contract, with the option of an extra year for an undisclosed fee. The 22‑year‑old becomes a regular striker in the Championship side after impressing in the Irish Premier Division. Club Background and Performance

During the 2025‑26 season, Arubi netted seven goals in 23 league appearances for Dundalk, helping the team challenge for European places. His scoring record caught the eye of scouts, and he was praised for his pace and clinical finishing. The move marks a significant step up for a player who spent the majority of his career in Ireland.

International Debut

Arubi’s fine form earned him a Republic of Ireland Under‑21 cap in a 2‑2 draw against Croatia in June, coming on as a substitute in the 60th minute.
