Angel Reese’s “Expressive Pink” Reebok 1 Drops July 17

High‑Profile Pink Launch

Angel Reese is teaming up with Reebok once again for a fresh colorway of the highly anticipated “Angel Reese 1.” The all‑pink edition, dubbed “Expressive Pink,” will hit stores this Friday, July 17, just weeks after the Maryland native released the neon‑green “Poison Angel.” Reese, 24, is entering her third professional season and her first with the Atlanta Dream after a record‑breaking college career that positioned her as one of the WNBA’s most talented young stars.

Design Details and Features

The “Expressive Pink” model keeps the AR1’s exoskeleton upper, a TPU stability cup, and Reebok’s signature Energy Return System (ERS). The shoe’s palette is dominated by bright pink with black accents that run throughout the silhouette. A shimmery sparkle on the heel cup adds extra drama, complementing Reese’s bold on‑court presence.

“The Angel Reese 1 ‘Expressive Pink’ colorway celebrates female empowerment,” Reese said. “I’ve always believed you don’t have to choose between being feminine and being fierce. This colorway is about owning both, and being bold every time you step on the court.” The design reflects her desire for a sneaker that works both on the hardwood and in fashion moments off the court.

One Year Since Debut

Reese and Reebok first launched the signature basketball sneaker nearly a year ago in September 2025. The initial drop featured a neon‑green “Poison Angel” finish that quickly gained traction among fans. In a press release, Reese explained, “Reebok and I built something that’s true to who I am, and I hope it pushes others to stand in their power, too. At the end of the day, it’s built for basketball, made to move and perform at the highest level.”

New Look, New Team

Before the WNBA season kicked off, Reese was traded from the Chicago Sky to the Atlanta Dream. The Dream added Reese to a roster that already features Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Jordin Canada and Brionna Jones. Atlanta entered 2026 with championship hopes, starting 12‑4 before a five‑game losing streak.

Reese’s mindset remains positive. According to The Blast, she told media, “We have [a few more] games going into All‑Star, and any team in front of us should be scared because we’re ready, and we’re gonna continue to put our foot forward every day, watch film, get together and figure ourselves out.” Her presence is seen as a catalyst for the Dream’s resurgence.

Inside Perspective from Carmelo Anthony

Days after the trade, NBA veteran Carmelo Anthony commented on Reese’s impact for Atlanta. “To give Angel to a team like Atlanta, and they ain’t give no assets up, like they get to keep everybody over there, and you bring the leading rebounder in the WNBA, a double‑double magnet, and she pass the ball… Atlanta becomes different,” he said. Anthony believes Reese’s move will elevate both her game and the Dream’s competitiveness.

He added, “Her level of play is going to rise with the level of competition and what you surrounded with. If you’re surrounded with people who [are] not thinking like you and don’t have the competitive nature you have, that sh‑t can be draining. So, now you’re going to a team who has championship aspirations.”

Why It Matters for Reebok Basketball

Reebok’s CEO and President, Todd Krinsky, highlighted Reese’s role in the brand’s new direction. “Every element—from the molded overlays to the heritage‑inspired traction—was made to celebrate Angel and how she is redefining what it means to be an athlete,” he said. Krinsky described Reese as “the next chapter for Reebok Basketball where performance meets personal style.”

Reese first joined Reebok while still at LSU in 2023, drawn by the brand’s commitment to Black women and its revitalization. In a previous interview with The Blast, she explained, “I want to go where I’m prioritized, and to be prioritized as a Black woman, and helping a brand come back and regenerate where it was, that was really important to me. They didn’t have a woman who was the face of their brand, and Shaq told me, ‘You could be the face of Reebok.’”

The “Expressive Pink” drop continues a rapid product cycle for Reebok, positioning the brand to compete with other signature sneaker lines in the league. As Reese steps onto the court for the Dream, fans can expect both on‑field dominance and street‑style influence from her latest footwear collaboration.
