Kyle Busch Tributes Lead NASCAR Return to EchoPark
NASCAR Returns to Metro Atlanta for Second Weekend
EchoPark Speedway is hosting its second race weekend in metro Atlanta this year as NASCAR comes back to the area. The track will honor the late Kyle Busch, a 41‑year‑old driver who loved racing there and collected 14 Truck and Cup victories at the facility. Busch captured Atlanta’s most recent Truck Series win in February before his tragic death in May from pneumonia. The weekend will also feature a public celebration of life on Oct. 9 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, open to fans.
Trackside Tributes for Kyle Busch
Several memorials will be placed around the venue to remember Busch. A marquee message will greet fans at the main entrance, while a fan zone will display a signed tribute wall for visitors. A stylized KB logo will be painted directly onto the grass of the track, and parachute jumpers will unfurl a KB flag during pre‑race activities. Those aerial displays will be paired with a video showcasing Busch’s career highlights at EchoPark. Finally, an empty chair will be positioned in the driver’s meeting area as a visual reminder of his absence.
Celebration of Life Details
A public service for Busch has been set for Oct. 9 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The event will be open to fans and will include remarks, tributes, and perhaps a viewing of his achievements. Additional details such as seating and ticketing will be announced as the date draws nearer. Fans are encouraged to monitor official channels for the latest information.
