According to Prasad, the wicketkeeper‑batsman is “the best player in English conditions” and excels on hard, bouncy surfaces. Youth Talent Handling Questioned

Prasad also raised concerns over the rushed debut of teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, suggesting the 15‑year‑old should have been introduced more gradually. He noted that sending the young talent straight into high‑pressure series against England created unnecessary uncertainty within the playing eleven. The pressure to include Sooryavanshi clashed with the need to retain Samson, leading to a turbulent period for the coaching staff and captain.
