Grant-Leon Ranos Set to Sign for CD Tenerife From Gladbach

Grant-Leon Ranos Set to Join CD Tenerife on Permanent Deal

Transfer Agreement Details

Sources at Sky Germany report that Grant-Leon Ranos’s move to CD Tenerife is effectively a done deal. A full agreement has been secured with Borussia Mönchengladbach for a permanent transfer. The Bundesliga side will now focus on finalizing the paperwork and clearing any outstanding medical procedures.

Financial Terms and Sell‑On Clause

Gladbach are expected to receive around €300,000, with additional add‑ons possible based on performance. The contract includes a substantial sell‑on clause, ensuring the Rhineland club benefits if Ranos is sold elsewhere in the future. This structure reflects a cautious approach to recouping investment while allowing the player to move on.

Ranos’s Contract and Promotion Option

The 22‑year‑old striker will sign a contract that runs until 2028, giving him long‑term security at the Spanish second‑division club. An extra year is built in should CD Tenerife secure promotion to La Liga, providing an incentive for both parties. Once his medical clears, Ranos will join the newly promoted outfit immediately.

Previous Appearances for Mönchengladbach

Ranos spent a spell at Gladbach from August 2023 through December 2025, making 19 appearances and scoring a single goal. During that period he gained international exposure as a fully fledged Armenian international. The brief loan contributed to his development and now serves as a reference point for his next club.

The transfer highlights CD Tenerife’s ambition to reinforce their attack ahead of the upcoming La Liga 2 campaign, while Mönchengladbach clears roster space and secures a modest financial return on a young talent they nurtured for two seasons.
