While live, a spectator in the stands directed a racial slur toward him and shouted “go home.” Another fan added insult by telling the gamer to “go cry at the zoo.” The abuse was captured on camera as the crowd around him reacted.

IShowSpeed commands a massive online presence with more than 56 million YouTube subscribers and a further 4.1 million followers on X. The incident caused his livestream to end abruptly after the match concluded. He was later seen leaving the stadium under the escort of several bodyguards, with curious fans following behind.

FIFA Issues Strong Condemnation

FIFA released a statement on Tuesday labeling the behavior “a clear violation of football’s core values.” The organization reiterated that “racism, hate and discrimination in all forms have no place in football, at the FIFA World Cup, or anywhere in society.” The statement emphasized that the tournament stands for “unity, diversity and respect.” Anyone undermining these principles, FIFA warned, is unwelcome in the game.
