Schwarber Joins Phillies Derby Field

Kyle Schwarber has been added to the Home Run Derby lineup for the Philadelphia event scheduled for Monday night. The veteran Phillies slugger will compete in front of his home crowd at Citizens Bank Park, where the atmosphere is sure to be electric. He will share the stage with longtime teammate Bryce Harper, forming a notable duo representing the Phillies in the eight‑man contest.

The four‑time All‑Star has amassed 219 long balls since 2022, just one shy of Aaron Judge’s 227 during the same span. His current pace suggests he could add several more extra‑base hits before the competition ends.

This marks Schwarber’s third time competing in the Home Run Derby. He reached the 2018 final before falling to Harper at Nationals Park, and he was eliminated in the opening round of the 2022 event by Albert Pujols.
