Manu Kone Top Target for Manchester United
Kone’s World Cup Break‑through
Manu Kone emerged as one of France’s most promising talents during the recent World Cup. The 6’1″ midfielder impressed with a blend of composure on the ball and dominance out of possession between defence and midfield. His all‑round style earned him praise from European football expert Andy Brassell, who called him “enormously underrated.”
Roma’s Midfield Dynamo
Kone has logged 37 appearances for AS Roma in the last Serie A season, underlining his importance to the Giallorossi. He also featured five times for Les Bleus in North America, adding international exposure to his résumé. A move to the Premier League could fetch around €55 million for Roma, a fee that would generate a significant capital gain for the Italian club.
United Lead the Race
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United sit in “pole position” to secure Kone’s services this summer. The Red Devils view the Frenchman as a defensive‑minded option that fits their current needs. Interest from the Premier League has intensified, keeping Kone’s phone active even after France’s World Cup exit.
Premier League Ambition
Kone is eager to test himself in England and sees a move to the Premier League as a career step forward. United are currently the favourites for his signature, but Chelsea are also being monitored by scouts. Earlier reports indicated he turned down Atletico Madrid in favour of an English destination.
