His all‑round style earned him praise from European football expert Andy Brassell, who called him “enormously underrated.”

Kone has logged 37 appearances for AS Roma in the last Serie A season, underlining his importance to the Giallorossi. He also featured five times for Les Bleus in North America, adding international exposure to his résumé. A move to the Premier League could fetch around €55 million for Roma, a fee that would generate a significant capital gain for the Italian club.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United sit in “pole position” to secure Kone’s services this summer.
