He completed the 460‑mile (740 km) route on Route 1 in just seven days, nine hours and four minutes, a timing that eclipses his earlier achievement of running across Australia in December 2024. The Route and Conditions

Starting on 29 June, Pitcher faced Iceland’s famously volatile weather, described by him as “four seasons in a day.” The hilly, rugged terrain proved more demanding than the desert heat he tackled during his Australian run. Early in the attempt, painful chafing and other injuries nearly halted progress, yet he persisted despite being “riddled” with issues. To meet the original schedule, he added an 88‑mile (140 km) push on the final day after the team fell behind.
