Latest Class Set for Public Unveiling

DeWitt’s newest Athletic Hall of Fame class will be revealed to the public on Friday, Sept. 11. The induction includes two standout individuals and two legendary teams from the 2020 season. This ceremony marks the latest addition to a hall that celebrates decades of local sports achievement.

Jason Fish, a 2002 graduate, shone as a swimmer who still holds the program’s top times in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly. He captured the LSJ swimmer of the year award twice during his career. Fish’s historic times remain benchmarks for future DeWitt swimmers.

Jordyn Shipps graduated in 2021 after a dominant swimming career. She won the state title on two occasions and was named Division 2 swimmer of the year in 2021. Shipps also set the fastest marks in Greater Lansing for the 200 IM and 100 butterfly before moving on to Oakland University.

The 2020 football Panthers, led by coach Rob Zimmerman, captured the program’s inaugural state championship. Their victory remains a cornerstone moment in DeWitt’s football history. The team’s success highlighted a new era of competitive strength for the Panthers.

DeWitt’s 2020 boys soccer squad, coached by Joe Ishraidi, advanced to the state championship game for the first time ever. The team secured a runner‑up finish, marking a milestone achievement for the soccer program. Their historic run inspired a new generation of players in the district.
