Clement, a 6‑foot‑3, 210‑pound right‑hander from Butler, Pa., completed three years at Virginia Tech. He pitched in 21 games, making 11 starts, and finished with a 2‑1 record and a 4.74 ERA, striking out 41 batters in 38 innings. Clement’s college tenure added another pitching option to the Hokies’ roster.
