The bullpen kept the inning shut, with Duncan Davitt recording a save after a clean three‑inning stint.

Clingstones Surge Past Barons

Columbus Clingstones 7, Birmingham Barons 1. The Barons managed a single run in the fifth off Caleb Bonemer’s 22nd home run of the season. Connor McCullough dominated early, hurling four hitless, scoreless innings and striking out seven. Birmingham’s offense stalled, going 0‑for‑7 with runners in scoring position and seeing Jackson Kelly and Pierce George struggle in relief, surrendering a total of seven runs. The loss drops the Barons to a 31‑53 record.

Tourists Come From Behind vs. Dash

Asheville Tourists 5, Winston‑Salem Dash 4. The Dash built a 4‑0 advantage after the fourth inning, thanks to a one‑out single by Ryan Burrowes and an RBI single from Jeral Perez. Asheville responded with two runs in the fourth and two unearned runs in the fifth. A walk‑laden seventh inning produced the go‑ahead run for the Tourists. Alex Ungar contributed a solo home run, while Burrowes and Perez added RBI singles. The Dash’s loss moves them to 48‑37.

Postponed Games

The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers and Delmarva Shorebirds were unable to play their scheduled contest due to weather, leaving the Cannon Ballers at a 42‑41 mark. Also shelved because of lightning, the DSL White Sox versus DSL Cubs Red matchup left the White Sox at 10‑17. Both games are pending rescheduling.
