Christian Anderson Jr. inked a rookie‑scale pact with the Charlotte Hornets after being selected 18th overall. The agreement calls for a $4,257,480 paycheck for his debut season. The deal follows the standard rookie contract structure for first‑year players.

College Accolades

Anderson earned third‑team All‑American honors while leading Texas Tech in scoring and playmaking. He averaged 18.5 points, 7.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. His 41.5% shooting from three‑point range produced 108 makes in just 33 contests.

Statistical Milestones

He finished fifth nationally in total assists (244) and 11th in minutes played (1,266). The 6‑foot‑1 guard also set a new Red Raiders record for single‑season assists. Anderson was one of only five college players to record eight or more games with ten or more assists.

Pre‑season Outlook

Hornet summer league coach Blaine Mueller has praised Anderson’s shooting and playmaking during practice sessions.
